Who I am
This site is run by Olly Bourne, based in the UK. I am the data controller for any personal data collected here. You can contact me about privacy using the contact form on the homepage.
What I collect and why
I use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit this site, which pages they read and which resources get downloaded. I use this to understand what’s useful and to keep my analytics skills current. Analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie banner. If you reject it, nothing is sent to Google.
I keep analytics data for 14 months, then it is deleted automatically.
Contact form
If you send a message through the contact form, I collect the details you enter (such as your name, email address and message) so I can reply to you. The form is run by Formspree, who process submissions on my behalf and may store data outside the UK. I keep messages for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and delete them within 12 months. You can use the same form to ask me to delete your message sooner.

Where your data goes
Analytics data is processed by Google, and contact form messages by Formspree. Both may process data outside the UK. See Google’s privacy policy and Formspree’s privacy policy for how they handle it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent to analytics at any time. Use the contact form to make a request. If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
